We established Scion Golden Retrievers in 1992.\u00a0 With each passing year we have grown to appreciate the Golden Retriever breed more and more.\u00a0 Specifically, we adore the Golden temperament.\u00a0 Their willingness to please.\u00a0 Their exuberance.\u00a0 Their playfulness.\u00a0 Their friendliness.\u00a0 I could go on and on.\u00a0 Due to this, the focus of our breeding program is on breeding correct temperament.\u00a0 To me that is the true essence of what a Golden Retriever is.\u00a0 It is what Scion Golden Retrievers strives to produce.<\/p>\n

Over the years we have dabbled in obedience, agility, hunt tests and conformation.\u00a0 Due to time constraints we have spent most of our recent years doing conformation.\u00a0 However, we are hoping to get back to hunt test training when my husband retires.\u00a0 While we have enjoyed all of the venues, there is something very special about watching a Golden Retriever at work.<\/p>\n

Scion Golden Retrievers is proud to have owned, bred or co-bred over 50 conformation Champions.\u00a0 As well, we have produced many who have earned performance titles.<\/p>\n

I have listed below some of the Golden Retrievers that I have owned, bred or co-bred who have earned recognition for achieving Top rankings in the Golden Retriever breed.\u00a0 In addition, I have listed those who have been awarded exceptional wins.\u00a0 It should be noted that in order to qualify for the Top 20 competition the Golden Retriever has to be ranked in the Top 20 for our breed in the entire country.\u00a0 This is quite an accomplishment when you consider that thousands of Golden Retrievers compete in conformation every year.\u00a0 We are very proud to have been a part in producing these Golden Retrievers. Above all, we want to thank their owners for having achieved so much with their companions.<\/p>\n
